History
Valor Concepts was established in October of 2004 as the result of a successful 1-year sole proprietor consulting contract formed between the founder of the company, Gary D. Harmon and his former employer to provide security design, consulting, systems engineering and technical support. After forming the company and discussing this new concept with others, it was decided to become a partnership. With this new idea and proven industry connections the partners decided that the importance of uniformed systems engineering could be of great value to other companies. Specifically, it was formed to focus primarily on a segment of the market that has long been overlooked by the traditional security design and consulting firms; security industry dealers and systems integrators.
The name Valor Concepts, "Strong Ideas" allows us to keep a broad scope of work while maintaining our ties to the security industry. Since then our business vision and genuine care for "Customer Satisfaction" has helped Valor Concepts grow into a respected security consulting and professional services firm. Valor Concepts has continuously expanded its capabilities in order to become a single point-of-contact company that strives to exceed our customers’ expectations. In 2006 Valor expanded into the IT Industry offering Network Security, Consulting and Design. In 2009 Valor expanded again adding Communication/ Infrastructure Consulting and Design along with Risk Assessment and Investigations through partner companies.
Detailed Company Profile
Valor Concepts is a diverse and innovative company. We have taken our years of experience, both in the Physical & Electronic Security Industry and the Information & Technology World, and merged them into a business which is uniquely human but very much the wave of the future. While Valor Concepts has many departments it is made up of three main divisions. Those divisions are:
» Consulting Division:
The Consulting Division focuses on the delivery of risk assessment, security/IT systems design and related professional services to our customers.
The emphasis is on developing the basic needs and requirements of the customer into a meaningful plan of action. In many cases, the plan involves the development of a solution that can incorporate many diverse technologies and approaches.
The Consulting Division remains "vendor neutral" meaning that no particular manufacturer, supplier or installing company is emphasized.

» System Engineering Division:
The System Engineering Division focuses on the delivery of professional services to the Security/ IT Industry, specifically equipment manufacturers, systems integrators and installation companies. These market segments are typically and have been historically ignored by traditional security consultants. At Valor Concepts, we saw the need and made available our suite of professional services. We believe that with our help customers can bridge the gap between most of the boiler plate specification that hit the street and what is really needed.
While we offer many services within the System Engineering Division, we understand that each customer is different so we tailor our offering to meet the specific need. There are some companies who choose to use us as their sole engineering staff and other that use us as a "force multiplier" by adding additional "bandwidth" to their current staff with things get too busy.
